Year 7 Transition Teacher, Stoke-on-Trent

Required for September 2014. We are looking for an enthusiastic and creative professional to pre-dominantly teach a group of Year 7 students who will start at Trentham High School with National Curriculum levels below Level 4 in English and/or Maths.

This 'Broadening Horizons' class will be taught together (for approximately 60% of their curriculum time) with the emphasis on accelerating progress in English and Maths. It will involve liaison with the Heads of English, Maths and Humanities subjects as well as the SENCO.

You will need to have a commitment to reducing barriers to progress for this group of students and supporting them so that they are better prepared to access the secondary curriculum in Year 8.
