Values and vision

Aquinas College aims to affirm and value each member of its community, recognising the dignity and unique nature of each individual. In this way the presence of Christ is celebrated. The college strives to share in each other’s strengths, support each other in weaknesses and celebrate the highest standards of achievement. The college also encourages a questioning stance towards the values of an increasingly secular society.

Aquinas College provides an extensive range of courses for adults in state-of the-art facilities in the heart of the Stockport community. Part of this remit is the provision of leisure courses and examination courses on Monday and Tuesday evenings.

Ofsted

“Governors and college staff promote an inclusive and welcoming environment. A strong ethos of mutual respect is evident across the college in lessons and in communal areas. Behaviour is very good in lessons. Teaching, learning and assessment are of a good standard across most programmes of study. Most learners make good progress in lessons and are developing necessary academic and technical skills.”
