About Herschel Grammar School

Herschel Grammar School is a coeducational and selective foundation grammar school founded in the 1940’s. We are proud of our specialist technology college status and we are recognised nationally as a ‘Leading Edge’ school providing examples of innovative educational practice.

We believe that pupils should be offered as wide a range of academic, sporting and extracurricular experiences as possible. We want our pupils to take responsibility, to make a valuable contribution to the running of the school and to become respected members of our community.

To that end we provide opportunities for pupils to travel and learn about other cultures and societies and to develop skills and abilities that will enable them to face the many challenges that lie ahead.
