 Our current Head of Pre-Prep & Pre-Prep Class Teacher, Mrs Zilea Simpson, will retire at the conclusion of the 2024 academic year after fifteen years of outstanding leadership at Brisbane Christian College.

 Due to Mrs Simpson's diligent management, our future Head of Pre-Prep will inherit an outstanding team of educators committed to spiritual and professional growth with a resolve to see every child reach their God-given potential and a campus with exceptional teaching and outdoor play spaces.

 About the role:

The Head of Pre-Prep will be responsible for the complete leadership of our Pre-Prep community, developing a team of educators who are the best in our country while implementing creativity and innovation through proven research as we move into the next season of our College's history as the preferred College in Brisbane. The role holder will teach a 5-day fortnight class.

 The following are three of the opportunities for the successful candidate:

  • With the Psalm 133 Team, develop anointed learner teachers
  • Assist the Head of Campus (Primary) to strengthen our core pedagogies, understanding and adapting in response to new research on educational theories while staying aligned with our mission and guiding principles
  • Manage all aspects of teaching and learning, facilitating staff professional growth and development.

 A Bachelor of Education in Early Childhood is a prerequisite for this role. All teachers teach Christian Studies and actively lead the spiritual development of our children.
