Currently, we are in search of an enthusiastic and committed Secondary School Teaching Assistant (already residing in Dubai) to join our highly accomplished department. The successful candidate would have a proven track record supporting in a secondary school Science/English/Maths department.

The school has proven GCSE and A-Levels results over the past five years. The school’s GCSE Value Added is +1.8 grades per child. A brief summary of the school performance is listed below:

English                +2.2 grades per child

Mathematics   +1.6 grades per child

Science               +1.6 grades per child


The successful applicant will already be resident in Dubai. Only applicants already based in Dubai will be considered.


About the Role

The successful applicants will demonstrate high levels of motivation and have the ability to engage, support, lead and inspire students to raise standards along with delivering effective outcomes for all children. You will preferably have experience in either UK schools or an international setting.

General Professional Responsibilities

  • Working with teachers to establish an appropriate learning environment.
  • Determine the need for, prepare and maintain equipment and resources required to meet the learning activities.
  • Implement agreed teaching programmes, adjusting activities according to student responses and needs.
  • Encourage students to engage in, and participate in learning activities led by the subject teacher.
  • Establish good relationships with students, acting as a role model and responding to the needs of each individual child.
  • To actively promote students' independence, self-esteem and social inclusion.
  • Provide the teacher with clerical and admin support.


Education

Due to regulations, we can only employ individuals with a minimum of High School education in English and Mathematics or a degree.

  2. Only applicants already based in Dubai will be considered.
  3. Submit a full resume / CV.   
  4. Submit a covering letter of no more than two A4 pages.   
  5. Provide at least three referees’ names, telephone numbers (with international dialling codes), and email addresses. One must be a current employer.   
  6. The closing date for all applications is Thursday, 30th May 2024 at 10h00 UAE time. However, applications will be processed as received, and initial interviews will be arranged for successful candidates as applications are received.   
  7. Once initial interviews are concluded, arrangements will be made individually with those candidates who will proceed to the second round of interviews.


Upon request, feedback will only be provided to candidates who progress to the interview stages.
