Job overview
Kilgraston School seeks to appoint a suitably experienced and qualified, dynamic and enthusiastic part time (0.6FTE) Computer Science /IT Teacher.
Kilgraston offers the Scottish curriculum leading to National 5, Highers and Advanced Highers. The lower school curriculum is based on the Curriculum for Excellence but most departments would expect to teach beyond the outlined curriculum. The majority of girls take eight or nine National 5s and then go on to take four or five Highers in L6 (S5). In the U6 (S6) the girls will then take Advanced Higher/A Level or new subjects at Highers.
Reporting to the Head of Maths and Deputy Head of Senior School, we are seeking a dynamic teacher who is inspiring, engaging, collaborative and approachable. The role is a key role and will play a significant part in the future planning for the subject development within the school.
The successful candidate will be expected to establish and maintain positive professional working relationships with all colleagues, both teaching and non-teaching, within and out with the school, with the aim of maintaining a positive and caring education ethos.

High standard boarding accommodation, interconnected to the main building, is provided for pupils from the age of 8 to 18, with a separate boarding house for sixth form. There are residential staff in each boarding area.
