Tes is supporting the appointment of a Teacher of Mathematics to join a High School for Girls based in Newcastle upon Tyne.
The North East’s leading independent girls’ day school has an exciting opportunity to appoint a well-qualified, enthusiastic and motivated Teacher of Mathematics.
They want their teaching staff to have high expectations of children and young people, including a commitment to ensuring that they can achieve their full educational potential and to establishing fair, respectful, trusting, supportive and constructive relationships with them. The successful candidate should have a secure knowledge and understanding of Mathematics and related pedagogy, including the contribution that Mathematics can make to cross-curricular learning and recent relevant developments. The ability to teach A level Mathematics and Further Mathematics would be an advantage but is not essential.
About the Mathematics Department
The Mathematics Department is made up of a friendly team of specialised teachers, who are passionate about motivating and inspiring high aspirations in all their pupils. They are committed to providing a curriculum that is highly engaging and that inspires a love of Mathematics in their pupils, which helps equip all their pupils with the mathematical confidence, skills and competencies needed for their futures beyond school.
