Bede's is looking to appoint a Teaching Assistant, to be based at the Prep School in Eastbourne from September 2024.

This role will support teachers in any designated year group from Reception to year 8. The successful applicant will ensure that every child is able to gain the most from their education, by supporting them with their learning as required. We are looking for a creative candidate, who will make a big impact in the life and learning environment of our pupils. 

Bede's is an independent, co-educational School located on two stunning sites, on by the sea in Eastbourne, and one in the heart of the Sussex Countryside. Bede's offers education from the age of 3 months through to 18 years of age, and is renowned for the level of pastoral care that it provides to the pupils.

The successful applicant will have a keen interest in working with children, and in supporting and developing their learning. 

As a member of the Teaching Assistant team, you should have good interpersonal skills, be flexible and be focused on the needs and wellbeing of the child. You must be a team player with a 'can do' approach to work, and a good sense of humour. 

This is a Permanent Position, working 35 hours per week, Term Time Only (33 weeks worked per year). Working hours: Monday - Friday, 08:00 - 16:00 with an hour unpaid lunch break per day.

The salary for this position will be £15,477 plus holiday pay per annum.
