Job overview

Due to continued growth and success the Laurus Trust is delighted to announce the opening of Crown Street Primary School in September 2024. Crown Street Primary School will provide 30 Reception places initially and up to 24 Pre-School places. We will add a further Pre-School and Reception class each academic year, until we have pupils in every year from Pre-School to Year Six in September 2030.

Located in the Deansgate-Castlefield area, Crown Street Primary is part of The New Jackson Street development. Nestled between Elizabeth Tower and The Blade, Crown Street will be an inclusive, non-selective, non-denominational one-form entry school where all pupils can thrive regardless of background or circumstance. Being the first primary school to be built in the city centre for 20 years, this is a unique opportunity to help shape the school from the very beginning.

This leads to an exciting opportunity for a kind and dedicated Teaching Assistant to join us on our journey. In this rewarding role, you'll play a vital part in supporting students with a variety of learning needs. You'll work alongside teachers to provide one-on-one or small group support, and empower students to reach their full potential.

If you would like to join our Laurus family in a rewarding role that changes the lives of our pupils by empowering them to become the best that they can be then we would love to hear from you.

This position is contracted on a 30 hours per week Term Time Only. This means you will mainly work when the school is open to pupils and will not need to work during the school holidays unless the contract requires you to do so. In total you will be in work for a minimum of 38 out of 52 weeks.
