Mencap has been running a successful Spellathon in schools for 20 years. In 2011 we launched, in partnership with Digital Giving Ltd, a brand new, fully digital Spellathon. Spellathon is a free sponsored spelling competition for schools. National treasure Stephen Fry voices Professor Bee and guides you and your students in the Hive where they learn and practice spelling through fun and interacttive animated games. The games are available for all ages and abilities. Schools get a free resources pack, games for whiteboard and PC and can get 25% of what their students raise. There are prizes to be won, including a £10,000 cash prize. Spellathon makes spelling fund to learn and easy to teach and it will change learning and fundraising in schools.
