My name is Angela Yardy. I am a wife, mum, children’s/youth worker and poet, with many years experience of children’s and youth work in schools and churches. My volunteer role as an active parent within my local primary school has been to support and promote literacy and a general love of books, but this has now developed into a love of writing and sharing poetry too. I now share this personal enthusiasm of poetry with primary teachers and children in a professional capacity, encouraging fun with poetry, as it has so many literacy benefits.
