My name is Lyna and i started teaching due to may passion to support SEN. Before I went to university I worked as a LSA in a mainstream school supporting a pupils with ASC. I also volunteered in a charity to support young adults who had SEN. I volunteered once a week for three hours to give the parents respite. It was here that my passion for SEN grew and I decided that pupils with SEN in mainstream would gain from me becoming a teacher. I have been teaching for 11 years, 5 of which was in mainstream. In order for me to gain a greater understanding of SEN and how pupils can be supported a took the role of SEN Teacher in a special school. My aim is to return to mainstream in the future to support class teachers to fulfil the potential of their SEN pupils.
