About
Chris has been teaching maths since 1983. He is currently the director of the secondary maths PGCE at King's College, London, having previously held the same post at Goldsmiths. Chris was for many years a head of maths at Deptford Green school; a proper inner-city comp that did very well indeed. He worked as a teacher in Tanzania, then as a teacher trainer in Uganda, where he co-wrote the best text books available in the country, updated and reprinted many times in their 18 year history. Chris ran the London public maths events for maths year 2000 and is a specialist in ICT in maths (notably graphing calculators) and in maths sequence planning, using the Map, Narrative, Orientation (MNO) practice developed with Jeremy Burke, at King's.
