About
The Wildlife Trusts provide inspirational, effective learning experiences for school pupils and staff at every level across a huge range of subjects. We have been welcoming school parties onto our nature reserves for more than 50 years. The nature and extent of Trusts’ work supporting formal sector learning is decided locally. Examples of the type of work carried out by Wildlife Trusts include improving school grounds, guided visits to nature reserves, providing resources for educators, Forest Schools, school membership schemes, visits to schools and more. Please contact your local Wildlife Trust - www.wildlifetrusts.org/local - to find out what they offer to schools in your area. The junior branch of The Wildlife Trusts is called Wildlife Watch and there are over 150,000 members of Wildlife Watch and hundreds of Wildlife Watch groups across the UK where children get the chance to get outside and learn about wildlife.
