Graduated King's College London with First Class Honours in French (with subsidiary English)and a distinction in the French oral examination, in 1992. Worked in France for a few years before returning to the UK. The idea for the Little Wolf series of books created by Bramhall Publishing was first conceived whilst teaching French to small groups of children: not finding sufficiently inspiring material for the very young, I decided to create my own. In support of our distant Gaelic roots, our latest title, Wolves Everywhere! has also been created in Gaelic, with the support of the Gaelic Books Council and assistance with our pronunciation guide for this title. My sister, Milena Synek, a talented self-taught artist, has created all the fabulous original watercolour pictures for the Little Wolf series of books.
