What programs do I need to open and use this product? I recommend using Adobe Acrobat Reader to open any PDF files.  Adobe Acrobat Reader is a free to download program. To use our editable resources, you will need to have Microsoft PowerPoint installed on your computer to open and edit these resources. Ensuring your software is up to date can help to avoid any compatibility issues. What does it mean if a file is editable? Our editable files allow you to change and customize the text so you can make it exactly what you want to fit your classroom. Simply type into the text boxes provided or add in your own to edit. You will need access to Microsoft PowerPoint to do this. Editable does not mean all parts are moveable. Any included artwork, clip art, some fonts and other graphics are fixed to abide by copyright laws and cannot be edited or removed. Colours also used cannot be edited with the exception of coloured text. If you want the text in the editable items to match the look of the ready to print decor, you may need to purchase and install some of the fonts. I’ve included information on the custom fonts used within the download along with a help sheet to make sure you’re getting the most from your purchase. Lesson objective: To recognise, describe and build simple 3-D shapes, including making nets. In this lesson, students will recap on 3d shapes and their properties. They will then look at the nets of different 3d shapes and through the interactive links will practise forming nets of the 3d shapes provided. Finally they will learn how to draw the nets of shapes accurately. 3 levels of differentiated activity sheets are provided as well as answer sheets. Duration: 1 hour This is an engaging lesson which comes with an interactive power point presentation and all corresponding activity worksheets. It is designed for Year 6 but could easily be modified to suit lower KS2 and KS3. This is a worksheet/investigation/activity that can be used to decipher the nets of 3d shapes. I'm sorry but the extension won&'t come out on this document, but all you need to do is draw spots on the nets and draw corresponding spots on the correct side of the cube. The base square also needs colouring.

Has a quick recap on 2D shapes and then goes onto 3D shapes where point out the main features of certain 3D shapes. The shape hunt we went on in reception. It was a little advanced for them but we will come back to it after Xmas. The shape powerpoint was used in conjunction with making fireworks - cylincers, cuboids and pyramids on the end. This fun, hands-on Christmas craft pack ticks a lot of boxes. Your students will love making seven Christmas crafts, which could be turned into ornaments, and there’s an option to cover geometry maths skills at the same time.
