Primary Science Targets Assessments

3 Resources
All of the science targets for key stage 1, lower key stage 2 and upper key stage 2 in one handy format that can be glued into the front/back of a science book and marked off when the areas are covered. Alternatively, you can use it to keep track of how the class as a whole is progressing, or use it to aid in the differentiation of a task as the targets match up across the columns of ‘working towards’, ‘working at’ and ‘working above’ the expectations. The target assessment sheets can be purchased separately at £1 each, or all three grids can be purchased in this bundle for £2.50 - that way you can use the savings to buy two Freddo bars. Or, you can time travel back to 2005 and buy five Freddo bars.

Primary Science Assessments and Tracking

(1)
If your fed up with hunting for decent science assessments for Primary children, or paying well over the odds for them, then look no further. This resource includes twenty-eight different assessments as well as a detailed mark scheme, designed to make marking efficient. Every single Primary science objective (NC 2014) is covered in each of the child friendly tests. Not enough? Well, also included is an excel spreadsheet which has been designed to make tracking progress a breeze. Simply fill in the marks for each child and the spreadsheet will do the rest of the work for you. It will give you a ‘grade’ for each individual objective, a total grade for each science topic and an overall science grade. This method of assessment quickly allows you not just to see individual pupils’ weaknesses, but also weaknesses within the class as a whole and provides the teacher with an excellent evidence base. In this era of tracking without levels, this is an essential resource for all Primary teachers. Please, leave feedback for this amazing resource! ALSO ADDED: Individual assessments for ALL science objectives for ALL year groups are available for purchase as are individual year group, KS1, KS2 or complete Primary packs. Primary Science Assessment Tracker

(1)
Primary Science Assessment Tracker: This is a tool to help teachers track attainment and progression of students from Year 1 to Year 6. The spreadsheets contain all the KNOWLEDGE and WORKING SCIENTIFICALLY learning objectives from the 2014 National Curriculumn, separated into two tabs for each year group. The spreadsheet uses a binary code (1 or 0) to clearly highlight when an objective has been met (or not) by a student. There is also a calculated percentage so teachers can gain a good idea of how much of the curriculum their pupils are achieving (good for hightlighting high achievers as well as low attainers).
