Primary Science Assessment Tracker: This is a tool to help teachers track attainment and progression of students from Year 1 to Year 6. The spreadsheets contain all the KNOWLEDGE and WORKING SCIENTIFICALLY learning objectives from the 2014 National Curriculumn, separated into two tabs for each year group. The spreadsheet uses a binary code (1 or 0) to clearly highlight when an objective has been met (or not) by a student. There is also a calculated percentage so teachers can gain a good idea of how much of the curriculum their pupils are achieving (good for hightlighting high achievers as well as low attainers).

Whole School Science progression document for each topic and each year group. This has been used as part of our Science Curriculum.

This lesson is appropriate for ages 8-11 years old. It can support children to learn about mixtures and solutions with included videos and tasks. This is a powerpoint which offers a wizard/ magic theme to keep young children engaged. It has been used to teach Year 5 successfully. I recommend preparing resources from your kitchen, a spoon to mix and a bowl of water for the main activity. Can easily be completed from home.

The text explains how these ancient dinosaurs were an evolutionary link between the dinosaurs and modern birds and how Charles Darwin used this information to help inform his theory of evolution.
