Story Writing - Science Fiction

(13)
This is a Y 4/5/6 week unit on story writing. I have tried to break it down intio all the key skills and concepts neede to write a great story so there is a lot of modelling and guided writing initially before the children write more independently. There are some great links to youtube videos in week 3 and 4 and I have made great use of Alan Peat’s approach to exciting writing. I hope this is useful.

I am using this PowerPoint to revise/teach certain grammar points to my Y6 class in the run-up to SATs. It is still a work in progress and I have used ideas from many other sources ( so thank you). I am no computer wizz so I am sure someone out there can make it look a lot prettier - I hope it is useful, however.
