This is a quick revision PPT I put together to help out my year 11's prior to their Reading & Listening exams. It is taken from approved AQA vocab list and contains a mixture of match-up, P or N, classification + common denominator exercises. The verbs are underlined in the classification exercises.

This PPT illustrates how to form the comparative using más and menos, and also the superlative including irregulars such as mayor and menor. There are a few opportunities to put it into practice using the theme of clothes, so suitable for anyone teaching this topic in Listos 2.

Thanks to Frederic Renouf for borrowing/adapting his original idea. I used this as a starter but an be used to reinforce learning. Boxes are filled with jobs/phrases (more complex ones in the centre to make it more difficult). A famous person is hidden behind. As they walk in students are given a word/phrase (see worksheet) & have to match it to the one on the board. If they answer correctly you click on the box and it disappears. When they guess who it is they also have to say what the famous personality's profession is in Spanish.

A fun way of practising negatives in Spanish with 8 slides covering most of the negatives needed for GCSE. Can be used to reinforce learning at KS4 or even at KS3 for top set groups. N.B. This is the 'simple' version of Mllionaire without the prize structure on. Also the background is from the French version 'Qui sera millionaire'. I know there is a Spanish version out there somewhere,

This is a simple, present tense, reading comprehension text with questions/replies in English. Can be used to reinforce common daily routine verbs and times.

A feedback sheet for use with practice writing assessments at KS3/KS4. You can give generic comments + estimated grade, based on AQA grade criteria. Simply tick or cross the relevant boxes + add comments where needed. As well as informing planning for the real assessments it helps students to identify 'areas for development' VERY IMPORTANT - AQA's Controlled Assessment Handbook (Autumn 2012) clearly states that although 'the teacher can return a copy of the completed task to the student..there must be no corrections. Any feedback must be general, not specific. It must be oral, not written.'

Simple enough PPT for introducing topic of directions using the informal 'tú' form of the imperative, and also 1st, 2nd, 3rd etc. Can be used with years 7, 8 and even 9 depending on ability.

If they answer correctly you click on the box and it disappears. When they finally guess who/what the NGO is you can also engage them in a discussion about their role in the world.

I designed this w/sheet as part of an end-of-year project for my yr 9's. Aim is to produce Gran Hermano video in TL incorporating all topics studied this year, with full class involvement, either in acting/filming capacity, writing the 'plot' or simply checking grammar and language. Key phrases used in introduction, eviction and farewell.
