Mock test to help the Y7's to summarize what they have learned so far, including birthdays, family members, numbers, plurals, classroom objects and more!

New grade descriptors for KS4 MFL from 2016 onwards for ALL FOUR skills - obviously each to their own with this one and some people may want to simplify them further, or make the criteria harder, but this is what I'll be working with. All feedback appreciated.

Pupils loved this worksheet, purely due to the family guy link. A variety of activities based on descriptions and holidays/activities.

Introductory lesson on birthdays/how to ask for birthdays in French. Pupils to then work in pairs to create their own conversation on this. PP includes some practice on numbers and months also.

Pupils to use the code to reveal names of Paris metro stations.

Intro to French verbs, using -er verbs, with accompanying worksheet.

PowerPoint on New Years resolutions and a further on Negative resolutions.

This has saved my department a TON of time with marking. Contains a template feedback form for students books (we print on green paper so that it is recognisable) with a section for student response. Also attached are some commonly used WWW/EBI comments (for both KS3/KS4) that can be copied and pasted in to the teacher comments applicable to that student. Very well received by staff and students and has everything that Ofsted woulf be looking for in terms of feedback and marking/student response.

Students to identify parts of the classroom and label, followed by a simple writing exercise to include plurals.

I used this mock test with my Year 8's based on what we had learned so far that term, in preparation for their end of unit test on holidays. Once they had gone through the test, they swapped their answer sheets with a partner and peer assessed each others work, looking for common errors/mistakes.

This has been a real labour of love... Taken from the new AQA specification for the 2016 GCSE, this contains all of the grammar published by AQA on the new specified topics from the new spec, with some activities at the bottom of each page. Obviously this can be tweaked for higher ability and some of the French words taken away for dictionary work etc.

Marking codes save so much time and encourage student feedback in books, which OFSTED are really encouraging. Students had a copy of this stuck to the inside cover of their books and each classroom in the department had one also.

A PowerPoint presentation with accompanying worksheet for fact finding on the festival of lights in Lyon. Students were mesmerised by the video (embedded) which lasts around 6 minutes. Computers required for research, students to navigate the website to find the answers. Extension task on separate PowerPoint for those who complete the task.

Pupils to take part in the quiz regarding French schooling traditions, by the end of this I PROMISE they will be much more grateful of their own school life!

Paragraph on "ma famille" for students to translate and then produce their own paragraph. Useful vocab included. This worked well for my top set Y9.

Can be tweaked if required, though these match up with the assessments that I have created and downloaded. Ofsted LOVED them!
