Atomic Structure & The Periodic Table - Differentiated Learning Outcomes (AQA Trilogy)

(0)
This resource breaks down the first unit of the Chemistry course for AQA Combined Science: Trilogy into differentiated learning outcomes. This is for teachers and students to support them in assessing their learning and identifying what is required to develop their responses and to achieve a higher level. This resource can be used to guide teacher assessment and feedback, peer assessment and feedback or individual student reflection and feedback. Broadly speaking, Level 1 translates to grades 1-3 of the new GCSE grading system, Level 2 is roughly 4-6 and Level 3 aiming at grades 7-9. This is only a sample of one unit, but generally if students are repeatedly hitting level 3 criteria across the entire GCSE course, then it is likely that they will be achieving grades 7-9 in their exams. This resource is an example of the entire course breakdown in the same format, split into the three areas (Biology, Physics and Chemistry). Ideally, the use of all of the differentiated success criteria or learning outcomes would be embedded alongside the learning right the way through to the exams at the end of Year 11.
