In formation, pictures etc on the Mary Rose pp

(5)
PP presentation about the Mary Rose used as combined Literacy and History lesson for Year 1. . First slide was displayed to children who were asked what they thought the Mary Rose is /was. Following slide gives a number of clues and the 5th slide reveals the ship after each click. ( My animation doesn’t always work on the IWB although it does on my laptop, so if used in this way, you may want to check it works first). The following slides gives children information on who the ship belonged to and what happened to it. The final slide was used a plenary activity.

PP point to use before the activity. I used the last two slides as my plenary. Quick and simple cutting and sticking worksheet for children to differentiate between fish and mammals. Good for all abilities as I got the MA and HA children to write sentences for each animal.

Created this for yr1 story writing. Children had been using the Mr Gumpy books for the past week so were familiar with the characters. Used the pp to explore adjectives used to describe characters and also character features. As a class we created a large word bank to display in the class.

Coral worksheet

A simple worksheet for children to fill out focusing on corals. I used the sheets after watching a short video clip (which I can no longer find on you tube). Can be differentiated with more detailed questions. I had a blank sheet e for my LA children to draw pictures of what they remembered from the clip and then to write sentences/key words.
