A ‘Menu’ of tasks for pupils to select from after completing Orwell’s ‘Animal Farm’. 4 - 6 lessons. The tasks include simple book covers as well as an essay and an extended piece of writing. Additional guidance and support is included to send to pupils when they are away from the classroom. Tasks can easily be differentiated to suit pupils and their circumstances. While offering a choice, a mixture of easy and more challenging tasks have to be completed for the ‘meal’ to be complete.

Use the flip chart to take your class through an amazing journey, with a gory ending! The class needs to be in groups of about 4 and they spend about 5 minutes on each of the tasks before sharing with the class. At the end, the groups or individuals can write up or record their experiences in any media format. It also works well as a stand alone lesson.
