Just a simple worksheet to practice squared and cubed numbers.

The Kent Test 11+ last year was a new format. There is therefore a very limited supply of past papers! I have put together a practice maths paper based closely on the new format. I have also made a multiple choice answer sheet to go with it. I find my students really like to know what the format will be - this improves their confidence. I hope other people will find it useful.

Nothing elaborate - just a worksheet based on fairly typical 11+ algebra questions. I put it together just for a bit of extra practice for my pupils - algebra isn't exactly a favourite topic!

A have done a whole series of these. One of my pupils cannot get enough of them! She really enjoys calculating the age of all the animals. Everytime we do a new topic she requests an 'Age of Animals' sheet. This would be suitable for 11+ candidates.

Both of these are for calculation practice. The answers are numerical. Where there is a decimal point this should take up one box place.

Worksheet practice on ratio. A question to fill in the missing gaps for equivalent ratios and a couple more about dividing cards between people in a specified ratio. Suitable for 11+, year 5 and year 6.

Revision practice for 11+, Year 5 or Year 6. Simple areas and perimeters of squares and rectangles; last question is a little more tricky and involves thinking about the area of a rectangle and what a square would look like with the same area.

Just some notes on what algebra is and a few pointers to help students. Contains tips on how to solve simple equations such as a - 3 = 5 and how to simply expressions by putting 'like' terms together.

I made this up as a year 3 pupil particularly enjoyed a worksheet on the age of monkeys (BBC). I think it would suit late KS1 and possibly early KS2.

Just a simple worksheet for practising sequences and patterns - suitable for GCSE foundation level.

This would suit late KS1 and perhaps early KS2. I was specifically requested to do this by a pupil who thoroughly enjoyed Finding the ages of giraffes.
