I’m a Year Six Child - Get Me Out of Here! End of year six assembly play script. Tried and tested by a Y6 teacher! Full of humour and topical references. Easy to pesonalise. Run time approx 20-30 minutes. I performed with 22 children but lots of chance to add additonal parts (e.g contestants’ family members). 28 different speaking roles (we doubled up some roles when using 22 children). Based on Gogglebox/I’m a Celebrity TV shows. Lots of opportunites to get little stories/references about memories/trips/children’s personalities. List of props included. Includes end scene that introduces your photo memory montage.

Easily adpated to personalise it to your school with class names, references to topics taught that year etc. Variety style performance with characters watching well known TV shows including: I’m a Celebrity… David Attenborough Popular talent shows - The Voice/Strictly/X Factor Family Fortunes References to Youtube - children given the chance to write and perform sketches in the style of Youtube videos. Opportunity for a dance group to perform. Singing opportunities - Don’t Stop Believing (Leavers’ Version) (Google this if lyrics needed) Frozen Cups Song (When I’m Gone) Each highlighted role with a number indicates a new role to help when handing out roles. Great to give children some ownership if you want them to produce additional scenes - good end of year project!
