Practical for extracting DNA from kiwi's Pupils are presented with a practical planning sheet and a jumbled method. Pupils must unjumble the method before being allowed to carry out the practical.

I laminated the investigation mat so the pupils had it as a resource to hand whilst planning an investigation. I use the plan a practical template with lower sets so they have a structure to write down their information

These series of one hour lessons were used whilst I was tutoring A level pupils, so would probably need to be split into shorter lessons if used in the classroom or used for revision lessons. The lesson covers all of the content for the AQA course and the knowledge is applied using exam questions. Each lesson and its accompanying documents are labelled either photosynthesis 1, 2, 3 etc

A two part GCSE lessons exploring the carbon cycle. The lessons allow pupils to understand what carbon is, how it is recycled and created in the environment and looks at key terms that would have been touched on at KS3. The lessons use group activities, mind mapping, videos and key questioning to understand the carbon cycle. A very interactive lesson that my pupils very much enjoyed!
