Solar System Standard Form; number activity

(4)
A nice activity which requires students to perform calculations (multiplication, addition, subtraction) with numbers in standard form to find information regarding planets (and Pluto!) in the solar system. It also allows for students to practise writing numbers in correct standard form. Note, I take no credit for the idea for this resource found by another user on TES, but have simply provided an edited version with regards to presentation.

Probability - Make Your Own Question(s)

(3)
This resource requires students to make up their own probability question(s) using the template provided. The topics covered could be tree diagrams, without replacement, and sample space diagrams. The obvious benefit here is the students are required to think more deeply about when each diagram is most appropriate and also when they may be required to multiply/add probabilities.
