This module is based around students ability to work with new materials, equipment and applications to produce a product. You will learn: How to research using different sources of information. How to use 2D design and a laser cutter. About the material they are working with (acrylic). Easy to differentiate, fully editable to suit department needs, come with all classroom PPT’s, worksheets, homework and scheme of work.

Suitable for Key Stage 3 home learning whilst schools are still largely closed or can be used as a homework booklet. Ideal for home printing or work drops to students during lock down. There are five tasks each designed to take around an hour, all tasks promote independent working, research skills and theoretical understanding of key topics within the subject. There are some good cross-curricular links to Humanities and Science within some of the tasks. Supporting video links included but only as suggestions.

A very adaptable and encouraging task to get Food and Nutrition or Food Technology students thinking during this extended period of time at home. I’ve used it as a stretch and challenge task for KS3 as well as a project piece for KS4. The hope is to turn the submissions into a display when we return to school.
