Lesson introducing ineqaulities and representing inequalities on a number line, includes questions and bingo activity. Was used as two lessons with low ability year 10 class but could easily be adapted for other abilities or ages

Lesson on distance time graphs, was used with a low ability year 10 class. Finishes with calculating speed.

Lesson introducing vectors, with several activites. Included on one out worksheet differentiated into 3 levels, allowing pupils to choose how they work. The answers to each level are the same which allows them to move between levels as they improve or take it easier if they get stuck.

Lesson going through lines of symmetry and rotational symmetry, with worksheet. Basic quick catch up lesson used with very low ability year 10 group.

This lesson continues and develops work with Pythagoras. From finding the hypotenuse to finding any side. I went through this with a top set year 7 class but it could easily be adapted for use with other years. Included is the main PowerPoint, the main worksheet (differentiated in three levels) and a puzzle sheet which I used as the starter. I've linked to the introduction lesson. Powerpoint introducing prime factor trees, I used it originally with low ability KS4 but could easily be used with KS3 classes. Next lesson covers multiples and using prime factors, again with more able classes they could be combined in the same lesson

Lesson introducing Pi, Circumference and Area of a circle. Was used with a low ability year 10 class, but could easily be used across key stages. Included tutorial and additional worksheet for pupils to complete as they go through lesson.

Quick powerpoint I have used with year 8, covers simplifying fractions, converting between mixed and improper, adding and subtracting with different denominators using the grid method and a quick finish on multiplying or dividing. Probably best used with higher ability or adapting and expanding to suit lower ability Also included is a worksheet adding and subtracting, fractions, mixed numbers and some fractions with algebra for level 5, 6 and 7

Lesson introducing factorisation. Starting with linear and moving on to quadratics. Lesson was designed to be used with mini whiteboards but these parts can easily just be done in exercise books. Ending includes a peer assessment activity. In which pupils set questions for each other. Lesson 2 of a series

Brief lesson giving one method of factorising quadratics with a coefficient on the x squared term Continuation from previous lesson Lesson 3

Game which can be used as a starting activity. It is based on the TV show catchphrase but features celebrities instead of phrases. Pupils have to answer questions correctly to remove a square and guess the celebrity. It's a bit of fun and the maths should enable all pupils to have a chance at participating. Instructions if needed are in the notes of the first slide.

A lesson and worksheet on simplification and addition of surds with some multiplication from here at the end. Includes differentiated questions and TARSIA with mistakes for pupils to find and correct. I used this for a recent short observation and not a full lesson, the worksheet was printed as a booklet. Thank to those whose work I have included.

Lesson 2, following lesson on prime factors, quick tutorial on how to use prime factors to find HCF and LCM followed by a few questions. Used for low ability KS4 but could easily be used for KS3

Brief lesson on stratified sampling, used with a small year 7 class. Includes worksheet and examples. I used it for a 30 minute lesson, so it will need adapting for a full lesson depending on class ability.

For lower ability classes, this lesson serves as an introduction to area and perimeter. It is mostly using the basic counting squares method. Includes a card matching activity and a multiple choice quiz.

A lesson based on function skills around decorating a house and garden. Lesson was designed for an interview. It mostly covers shape and space topics and includes a task which requires pupils to measure compound shapes and find their area. Will try to upload a lesson plan when possible.
