This is a scheme aimed at year 8. It gets them back into drama, with lots of spontaneous improvisation, leading onto work on status.

Introduction to Mime as a genre. Lots of practical Mime activities. I have done this for a number of years and adapted it as I have moved schools, added new ideas etc. It has one that I have never left from my training, Year 7's love it!

Assessment Criteria for KS3 Drama, from L3 - L8. Six Areas of Assessment include: - Use of Drama Techniques - Performing Characters - Staying in Role - Group Skills - Responding to Ideas and Performances - Quality of Written Work Obviously as Drama does not have statutory assessment criteria (at KS3), these are only one version and can be adapted (as I have done over the years to get to this).

An introduction to basic use of still image and drama as a subject. Leads to a baseline assessment using script.

Unit 3 acting skills. Used for Learning Aim A. Can be altered to be for both Learning Aim A and B if extended the period of rehearsal and development for duologues. Used with great success 2014 completion. All resources included.

Year 8 Macbeth scheme. Another one which I have adapted over the years since training. It allows students to explore Macbeth as well as covering a variety of explorative strategies.

This is a Children's Theatre scheme of work I have put together for Yr9 Drama/Performing Arts Students. It includes a terms work on different production arts skills (inc. directing, costume etc). Then a second term on bringing all of these skills together and creating a small scale production company. It is still a bit of a work in progress, so there may be gaps in places. It also doesn&'t have all the resources (such as a children&';s theatre performance video). If nothing else I hope it provides others with a stepping stone.

A selection of PowerPoints and Word docs I have put together when creating final revision notes for Component 3 - Section A. I have used the Pearson (Edexcel) revision books and guides to support examples and used marking criteria from Spec and SAMs. Focusing on Twelfth NIght as the set text, but could be easily adapted for all of the Set Texts for C3. A resource to help students studying Twelfth Night (Pearson Set Text for GCSE Drama) to revise the plot. They cut the cards, put in order and then check if they are right.

Character Cards - character information from a variety of sources (including sparks notes, cliff notes etc…). Speed Dating Card. Give each student a character card allow them time to revise the information. Then use speed dating 1 minute on timer for other students to collect as much information as possible. Swap over to allow all students to have a go.
