This resource has a handy A5 sized Vocabulary, Connectives, Openers, Punctuation (VCOP) self assement sheet. I use this with pupils after they have have completed a first draft of a piece of writing. They use highlighters matching the colours of the VCOP sheet to highlight their work, and see success as well as areas for development.

I have created '3 levels' of Kung Fu Punctuation based on Ros Wilson's model. Each new level re-caps what was done previously. Students practice the moves, do the correct move to match the sentence displayed, and then finish the session with a tournament.

Progression strands for KS3 in a table format that can be cut up into cards. Speaking & Listening, Writing, Reading and Language are on different colour cards. Each card has the strand focus with the variation for each year group. Improve students' attainment and understanding with this resource.
