I recently did this lesson for an OFSTED inspection and got an outstanding. The lesson requires a lot of preparation, though it is worth it. This lesson focusses on the financial, social and physical effects of smoking. It is student lead learning.

My students have had difficulty using subject terminology when answering English language questions and when writing literature essays. I often find that they know the techniques, but just forget to use them. I made this terminology reflection checklist so that students could prioritise what they need to revise. The word mat is for them to refer to in class. It's not a complete list, but it is enough for them to reach the top bands.
