Outstanding Area lesson

(47)
This lesson was rated Outstanding by Ofsted three or four years ago. The starter activity was mentioned particularly in the report, as the children were apparently suitably engaged! They seemd to like the whole class teaching, as they said it showed a practical use of maths in the world. I'm sorry, the resources were hand-drawn so I cannot send them out to people. But one was rectangles on squared paper and one was rectangles on plain paper.
