Interactive powerpoint using clipart and photos of x-rays to find out whether certain animals are vertebrates or invertebrates. I use this with a SEN Y.7 class, but is well suited to KS2 as well.

This is a set of resources based around forensics (using CSI as a platform). It contains elements to do with fingerprinting, separation techniques, codes, DNA extraction and chromatography. It could be used for KS3 or lower level KS4. It could be used in conjunction with a 'mock crime', or as 'CSI training'.

A powerpoint showing various stages of embryo/foetal development. It is a simple powerpoint, as I made it for SEN Y7 and SEN entry level year 10 groups. Feel free to add more detail to the text for higher ability groups!

Powerpoint covering this topic, and ABPI resource on making choc crispies (which my groups LOVED). After the diffusion videos I did demo potassium permanganate, and the kids had a go with food colouring too. I also used the particle circus powerpoint from this website (sorry - i can't remember who made it...) for practical work. Also had the kids running round the room pretending to be particles at one point(!)...

Revision of nuclear radiation aimed at SEN KS4 students. This is a revised version of this resource, since the original copy of the ppt had embedded videos that didn't work. Covers alpha, beta and gamma radiation in terms of penetration, positive uses of radiation, risks of using radiation, hazards, and nuclear waste.
