A worksheet with pictures of series and parallel circuits pupils must build. Different components are added or removed and pupils observe any changes in the brightness of bulbs. Shows that in a series circuit as more bulbs are added bulbs become dimmer and that there is no effect in parallel circuits.

Lesson about extremophiles who live in extreme enviroment. Includes: Starter: List the extreme habitats humans can survive in. Introduce new info: A link to a video explaining what extremophiles are. Main activity : pupils make a poster on extremophiles OR complete a table on extremophiles using the internet as a source. Plenary: Design your own extremophile (e.g. one that can survive smelly shoes!) OR card sort of extremophiles.

Contains card sorting activity (print A4 copies of the '5 kingdoms' doc and the cards within the word doc'. Cards to be placed on the 5 kingdom picture to show what features belong to each kingdom. PDF file - can't remember the source... Pics from starter were cut out to make a card sort but pupils could just jot the names of the animals down.
