Collaborative learning. I used Kagan style groups of 4 children to play pass the bomb. In this game the whole class or a small group can play pass the bomb to revise 2d shape properties. The class are split into 4s. One child keeps score while the others pass a bean bag around. The slides with shapes on have a timer and a bomb sound effect to stop each round. You have to click to move on from the blank slides. This should give each group time to mark their score. Great fun, my class have made their own slide shows for different pass the bomb games too!

Great idea. I have an interview next week and have to teach a 15 minute lesson on properties of 2d and 3d shapes. May alter this and do something similar. Or does anyone have any other suggestions? (nervous NQT)

Superb! Fun, but not at the expense of rigorous mathematics.
