ART Fruit Faces - Work of Giuseppe Arcimboldo

Overall rating 4 out of 54.6 (16 ratings)

Last updated 10 August 2014, created 13 July 2011, viewed 30,001

This lesson was based on the work of Giuseppe Arcimboldo. The Powerpoint is the INTRO and then the children designed their fruit face! They then made them using real fruit! I have also included a PowerPoint of the finished faces to give you some idea of what the children achieved!

This is a fantastic resource and I am using some ideas in the Italian classroom. The children have learned about the weather, seasons and are now looking at seasonal fruit & veges that will lead them to an introduction of G. Arcimboldo as the cultural component of the lesson. They'll have fun painting a portrait inspired by G.A. thank you so mush.
