Last updated 05 February 2012, created 05 February 2012, viewed 334

A young offender, played by an actor, interacts with real professionals who treat this as a real case. The young person has received a referral order and must meet his Youth Offending Team (YOT) worker. Luke, the YOT worker, has to compile a detailed report about the young person for the Youth Offen More…der Panel which will decide on the terms of the referral order. Over the course of several meetings, Luke looks into the young person's background and home life to see what factors are influencing his offending behaviour, and refers some of these problems to specialists in the multi-agency YOT team.
