Algebra Through Paper Folding - ROTW 3 (2012/13)

Instead of being asked to collect like terms and simplify any old expression, students are instead challenged to create some interesting compound shapes using three sheets of paper. The visual, hands-on nature of this activity encourages students to engage more with it, and hence improve their under More…standing. In the video I also offer up some suggestions for simplifying and extended the resource, making it an activity that you can use with students of all ages and abilities.
