I used these resources to develop awareness of autism in the group and wider school. First, we looked at the starter and learners had to guess the thing in common- autism. Then we watched the dvd about a young man with autism. Next, we talked about the awareness ribbon, and learners cut out the j More…igsaw template printed onto coloured card and annotated with the meaning of the ribbon for display. Finally, we made awareness ribbons following the given instructions (ribbon available on ebay) and distributed to raise awareness.
