PLEASE FEEL FREE TO COMMENT IF YOU DOWNLOAD. A lesson to introduce the students to the need for laws and to examine if the original 10 commandments are still relevant today. When they first receive the list of 10 I ask them to read the list for 2 mins and for the whole class to ask me about words they don't understand. There are several that are quite difficult.

A strong starter in your power point. I have used something similar with a piece of prose when working with students needing extra literacy support. The students love guessing ANYTHING so this will work well. Good to link to laws today. I think this is the most important lesson in Religious Education - we live in a world where so many of the 'given' rules are overlooked. Was it ever thus? Maybe. However, lying and stealing seem to come very easily to us all. Learning to not want what is out of your reach is something we need to be taking even more 'on board', Doesn't make us any happier. Thank you.
