Several pages of useful connectives for VCOP display. I’ve used these in both year 5/6 and year 3/4 classes. A range of connectives are listed under headings: time, listing, argument, adding detail and result. Captain Connective (very muscly) gives the children a message: Make your writing powerf More…ul - use connectives! (Captain C was downloaded from a kind contributor on here.) Topics also included: word work; high frequency.
