This is a mystery which requires students to use the clues to work out which suspect committed a murder. They need to draw various constructions on the map according to the clues they are given. This is a really nice activity to do as an assessment lesson once you have completed this topic. I have a More…lso put a rough solution on but I couldn't do all the correct constructions in word so please look carefully at the activity before using to make sure you know what the final solution should look like.

Just what I was looking for to reinforce work on loci & constructions. At first I felt like mackley_bm and jklmn that establishing the murderer wasn't possible but if you believe what the police say it did become obvious.

I liked the look of this but felt that I was missing something and the solution sheet didn't help me much. Who was the murderer and how do you know. We discussed it but were unhappy with our own answers.

Haven't used this resource yet, but I'm wondering if 1 mile = 1cm when this is printed?
