A good worksheet activity on Coordinates, Quadrants and Graphs for KS3 pupils. A word document that is easily adapted to be printed or used on the IWB. In this word puzzle pupils write down the letter from the grid at each given coordinate then unjumble the letters to find the Maths word.

This is a great activity which you could use at any stage of a lesson. It requires students to identify coordinates in all four quadrants, in doing this in the correct order they spell out a word or message. I would use this as a starter in a lesson on plotting straight lines or transformations. I really like that it brings in some literacy too, thank you for the great idea.

Used this as a plenary with a middling Year 7 class. They really enjoyed it and it stretched their literacy skills too. Thanks.
