LI: To choose between different methods of subtraction.
A series of subtraction questions. Underneath each there is space for pupils to work out the answer to each calculation and next to this pupils must tick a box to indicate whether they have used counting on/ counting back. Have also included More… the plenary I used in this session. Each table was given a series of subtraction calculations and had to sort into piles to indicate whether they would count on/ count back.
