Dead Mens' Teeth (A Very Spooky Story)

Overall rating 5 out of 55 (1 rating)

Last updated 12 June 2013, created 09 April 2012, viewed 3,008

This spooky story from Jamaica and re-told by Roger Hurn in his book Spooky Stories and Twistwed Tales, is a great one for sharing because it grabs the attention of even the most reluctant listeners and all those children who love stories that give them goosebumps. There is a set of key questions More…for teachers to help the children engage with what they've heard. The story also lends itself to dramatisation and oral re-telling.

A brilliant, perfectly short story to use with mid and lower set Year 9s. Plenty of suspense techniques for them to get their long, sharp teeth into. Thank you!
