The toolkit guides you through a variety of activities you can use to structure and encourage discussion in the classroom. It focuses on discussion, rather than debate, although many of the activities will work equally well for both. The first two pages offer a blurb about why talk is important w More…ith a bit of a PSHE focus. There are also lots of website links if you want to follow ideas further. enjoy!

An absolute life saver. Clearly laid out with the variety of techniques that can work magic with tired teenagers; Year 10. Many thanks.

I love your toolkits. With a bit of a TL vocabulary framework this one will also serve to promote speaking in MFL as well. Many thanks.

Absolutely fantastic. Have tried out some of these activities and seen a real improvement in the quality of talk which has lead into some quality writing. Thank you so much. I have also shared these with other members of staff and they have been 'having a go' with great results.
