This is a lesson which follows another which I found on TES. Children had already been introduced to Diwali, how and why it is celebrated. This lesson explored the story of the Ramayana. Children enter the room to different artefacts associated with Diwali on their tables. Later on in the powerpoint, the children are given an envelope each with a part of the story to tell in their group with possible narrative and illustrations. The whole class then present the Ramayana a section at a time. Rama, Sita, Ravana, Hanuman, Festival of Lights.

I think this is a very well researched Powerpoint. I have not yet tried it but would recomend it for all of its cross curricular references.<br />
