Investigating the rewards of a positive EYFS learning environment. The Early Years unit in Leeds demonstrate how the enabling environment, themes and principles look on the ground. Oakwood Primary's foundation stage unit is typical of many in inner cities, developing a learning environment capabl More…e of supporting child-centred play, with input from the children. The practitioners reflect on their move towards a Reggio approach and how this fits in with the requirements of the new EYFS, and Professor Chris Pascal from the Centre for Research in Early Childhood helps to unpack the EYFS document and relate it to some of the children's projects. This programme looks at how the physical and emotional environment can support learning activity, and how both the children and practitioners make records of learning across projects.
