These worksheete were designed for Year 9 students who had difficulty with spelling, but could be adapted for earlier year levels. It is part of a wider unit that looks at prefixes, suffixes, base words and syllabification. Students simply need to recognise when prefixes and suffixes can be delete More…d from a word to find the base word. They will need to be reminded to adjust the spelling of some words, ie put the silent 'e' back on the end, or change the 'i' back into a 'y'.
